the funny thing is that all the digital imagery, digitised sensation, the imaginary event, cannot compete with the analogue, that soft tactile touch of real flesh. the smooth silken run of fingertip; the physical.
failing its presence, we have the visual. remote, distanced, removed. there just the other side of touchable, unreachable.
but you can imagine the feeling, the skin's caress. and that's all that's needed. leave it here, hold back, refrain. the sheer sensual experience, subtle, simple, ephemeral. a synesthetic sensuality, representational rather than real.
